Now changing subject for probably the last time back to the original topic of this thread. This case is now officially over! (where the fuck is the celebrating emoji?) I have been informed in the last 30 minutes that the judge approved and signed the settlement agreement. This agreement was sent back to us by the judge last week, when the other party tried to change the terms. It was only re-submitted on Friday and this is one business day later.

This is just my feeling, and maybe I am way wrong, because I don't know how these things work, but I feel like the shenanigans pulled last week may have actually fast tracked this approval. Like the Judge may have wanted to act before any additional shenanigans. Actually, I don't know why there would be any delay in approving anyway. Some clerk reads the settlement and if everything is kosher, the judge signs. Seems like it should be a 10 minute ordeal. Probably more to it that that, but again, this is just my own thoughts.

Anyway THAT is done. Don't know when I will see the actually moolah in my account.

I fear information about this case will soon be known, mainly my identity. If that happens, nothing I can do about that. People looking could have already found some info if they knew where to look and no I am not about to direct anyone.

At some point, I have an interest in talking about this case. Not on any forum. I fought for that right and have some things I want to say. Obviously I can't name the casino, although I expect that too will come out. And I can't say a settlement amount. I will abide by that. But there are some things I want to share that I haven't yet on advice from my attorney. GWAE would have been the spot, but the timing didn't work. Maybe some podcast by Shackleford or Dan Druff. Maybe AC. But two of those venues would be problematic because I will not show my face, even if my name becomes known. We will see how it plays out.

I am going to take a break for a while. Not going to commit for how long. Maybe it will be days, maybe weeks, maybe months, maybe forever. That is my choice and I have the right to post again whenever I want. But I will tell you, I am growing real tired of the damage being done and attempted done to me, simply because I share some things on a gambling forum.

I have no idea if it was signed today, over the weekend, or last Friday. I have NOT seen a copy of the signed agreement. What I said was I received an email today, informing me that the agreement had been signed. So you are going to have to put your little happy dance celebration on hold.

I definitely have run into KJ out in the wild (primarily East Side Cannery) along with his late husband at Club Fortune. This was years ago. Probably 6-8. I have stated that before. I have also always given him his privacy. There's hardly any chance I would run into him now. Especially the last 5 years or so.

There's a lot of people that know each other on these forums. KJ is probably the most private person. It's probably a good thing for him. What part of his story do you doubt?

My opinion here too but breaking an arm is not easy to do. Like.. just banging your arm up against something? Whatever. I don't recall ever knowing anyone to break an arm like that. It has to be crushed or some downward fall or speed involved. Something . Just smashing your arm against the edge of a table and breaking it is just another example of an extreme event to me.

I don't care to pick on the guy too much. He is harmless enough.

AinQ, this is an extraordinary post by you. And not in a good way. I have had probably somewhere between 50 and 70 backoff in my 14 years in Las Vegas. Backoffs are among the very things I shared all these years. So for you to come along and twice say "he had almost no backoffs" is both baffling and frustrating. This is the exact kind of thing I shared all these years and anybody that wanted to could ask about.

And finally...there is a learning process involved with heat and backoff. My first few years I would get a backoffed off 7-10 times a year. then it dropped to 4-7 or so and now it is 2-3. You just learn to read people and see when your play has crossed over the comfort level before a backoff happens. Again, this is all about short sessions, playing limits that are well tolerated and accepted and not overplaying any casino, and personnel.

It's probably best to just take his story for the EV (entertainment value) it provides. And how did anybody think this was gonna end anyways? A secret amount, possibly. Can't name the casino but it's part of the public record? Makes no sense. Casino immediately sends video of incident to victim's atty.? Never happened. Hi-level atty. keeps client in the dark enuf so that he yaps yaps yaps and makes misstep after misstep on forums? Nonsense.

Will we ever see proof of any of this? LVRJ reports on every public casino case in as much detail as possible. Thus far they have no knowledge of such a case. That doesn't mean they won't. If they ever do, look for a story from Velotta or Ross.

Of particular interest is why is there no criminal charges when there's personal injury involved? That's not up to anyone but the prosecutor. And of course, why is there no public CC case no. filed in kew's real name as yet, or even a "back-rooming" case vs. ANY casino in the past 4 months?

As nervous a poodle as kew is, I wouldn't put it past him to have collaborated with our friend max for those sudden & timely carefully prepared statements about "running into" kew (and his "husband"....yuk!) at ES Cannery. It wasn't needed anyway. We already know kew's overly infatuated by the game of BJ.

Let's just be thankful that this is over, unless that's another lie too. Imagine if every poster were as insecure as kew that they'd HAVE to run everything by everyone just to get that kind of attention and acceptance? Are you using the term "86ed" as a synonym to "trespassed"? I have heard or seen some card counters use it as a synonym to trespass as well as a sort of intermediate counter-measure between being backed off and trespassed where the casinos says you can play no casino games, but yet you are not trespassed. I have never encountered that.

And this was the first time I have been trespassed, meaning read or signed a statement that I could not return. There was an incident early in my career, before I moved to Las Vegas, when I was just visiting, that I had been grabbed and was being taken off the floor, and sort of talked my way out of it as we were walking. I assume that would have ended in a trespass.

Other than that I have only experienced backoffs, where they tell you no more blackjack, but you can play any other game. Most of those have been very polite and some extraordinarily polite, saying something like "that is enough for today".

What is this language that you use where everyone is a "cool cat" and this kind of thing? It seems like some kind of hippie talk from the 60's? Are you native to the U.S. or not? Honestly, I always thought you were from Australia or some place by the way you speak.

And I am going to ask this because I really don't know. Do you have a lot of experience card counting at more than a recreational level in Las Vegas?

Regardless of the answer to those questions, if at any time you had legitimate questions about something I do or shared, you could have at any times, asked me and started a respectful discussion.
