I don't have a problem with LV winning the cup. Actually they demolished the Panthers. Either team winning would have been fine with me. It's the last major US sport that hasn't been taken over by the Mandingo's and the spics, with minorities STILL whining about how "white racists continue to control sports--we need more black owners, coaches and waterboys!!"

The only thing the NHL got wrong this year was their
AWKWARD attempt at embracing of this gay pride nonsense. How the hell can there be ANY kind of "pride" associated with people who choose to be outcasts and biologically twisted oddballs. Let's hope they shelve that mistake for the coming years.

Holy Shit, did you see the Boston Bruins Twitter Page and New Logo??
    Fuckers went Super Woke.
Didn't they just see Bud Light and Target lose over 20 Billion Dollars for this shit?
Choke a 3-1 series lead to Florida and their PR Department is like yeah, lets embrace Pride Month???
The Bruins were my second favorite team for decades.
I'm Fucking done with those losers.
Glad they gave the Knights Bruce Cassidy...

"More importantly, mickey thought 8-4 was two games over .500. Argued about it. C'mon, man. Nothing can top that for math expertise. If GWAE ever has you on again, you can be sure I'll be calling in with that gem.'Nuff said." REDIETZ

Why would someone be ashamed of accomplishing what no other poster in history has done. I don't get it. It's like Rob denying the fact he was Jerry Logan. 2 vets who won't own up to there past.

Leave it to some of you guys to turn a happy little thread into garbage with your bigoted, racist hate, led of course by Rob Singer, and his racist hate of black people. It so happens Rob, that there were 34 black players in the NHL this year, up from 23 just 4 years ago, and just a handful a few years before that. Don't blink Rob, you may not like what you see when you open your eyes. And while the majority of NHL players are white, they are not U.S.A. white. The majority are Russians, Chechs, Swedes, Finns and Canadians with "funny" last names and accents.

It so happens the Golden Knights have a special place in the hearts of many residents of Vegas. They were our first pro sports team of the major 4 sports and we didn't steal them from another city. They were born here in Vegas, hence the theme "Vegas born".

The Golden Knights played their first game 3 or 4 days after the October 1, shooting that killed 59 on the strip at a time when folks here needed something else to think about. The Knights won 8 of their first 9 games, a fast start from an expansion team, on their way to the Stanley cup finals in their first year. It was easy for people to get behind such a fast start, as opposed to the usual several losing years that most expansion teams face.

The Golden knights have a special place in my heart as well. I had my second heart surgery about 10 days after they played their first game. My second night in the hospital, first in a regular room on the heart floor, my brother who never left my side those first few nights, and I watched a Knights game. I forget who they played but they won in overtime.....part of that 8 of 9 game opening run. My brother who has several teams from Florida that he is a fan of and myself who root for several sports teams from Philadelphia, were able to bond over the Knights. They were a team we could root for together from out new home city. Hockey isn't our favorite sport for either of us, but we have attended a couple dozen games over the six years and frequently watch games at home, especially during the playoff runs. Last night we watched at a sports bar on the strip overflowing with Knights fans and then headed over to Toshiba Plaza as the game ended to celebrate.

It was a very fun night for most of us that call Vegas home. Looking forward to the parade celebrating the NHL's ICE hockey champions in close to 100 degree Vegas weather. Should be more fun!

Dude, they're a fucking hockey team. It's entertainment no different than seeing a feature film. They only care about making money off of you through ticket and concession sales.

Yes jbjb, that is what sports is....a business. We all understand that. But there is also a sense of community that comes from that. No place more so that Philadelphia where I spent the first years of my adult life. On a Monday morning after a tough Eagles loss, or following a loss in the championship game which happened my first 3 years there, people....complete strangers would hug and console each other as if someone in their family had died.

Just a few years later when the Phillies won the world series, people were literally dancing in the street on broad street the night they won and other popular gathering locations in Northeast Philly and other parts of the city. Sports brings out those emotions both high and low, and that is what life is about.

Oh waaaa....waaaa....waaaa....blah...blah...blah... You make such a wussified drama out of everything. You're acting like you're the one obligatory homo cheerleader on the team or something.

LV people see this as some big deal or whatever because nearly every one of them are gambling losers, so anything that suggests winning is like the intermittent satisfaction they crave from being weekly losing gamblers with the infrequent jackpot.

And jbjb's right by the way. YOU'VE got nothing to do with it, your weakass heart has nothing to do with it, and the dumbass people who go to those games are nothing but sheep who the team needs to help pay their ridiculous salaries. Otherwise, they couldn't give a shit about you people.

You figured it out----congratulations! Most of the white guys in the NHL come from Europe and Canada!! And let's keep that up. It's the only way to keep the league from collapsing to the will of big mouth media blacks. They're ruining basketball and football with that nonsense. Leave hockey alone.

What ANOTHER stupid post from the guy who posts as Rob Singer. Yes that is what fans are. Fans of teams that are a business. Is this some great new revelation by you guys? Most people around the world are fans of some team, ranging from casual to absolute fanatic, the origin of the word fans. What is your point?

Well you will be happy to know that Rob is indeed doubling down on his past bullshit, Ozzy. On another forum he went on a rant about buying houses for family members from his multi-million dollar casino wins. Even told how he pays his son $50,000 to carry a suitcase full of cash for him at the casinos. You can't make this stuff up!! Oh, wait, he did.

Later in that same post Rob called someone else "an angry old man" and said that person (redietz) "had been reduced to posting on anemic and irrelevant forums trying to convince a bunch of anonymous posters you're a big deal and you know what you're doing".

This would be funny, if Rob was intentionally being ironic for humor sake. He doesn't seem to see that most of what he posts and accuses people of are a projection of what he does and has done for decades. The kettle calling the pot black doesn't due justice. This is an fool not realizing he is describing himself.

No one is going to read all that.

    I’m happy for you though.

    Or sorry that happened.

Well here is another one you may not read.

When I lived in Philly, I had 2 friends that were diehard Flyers fan. They lived and breathed Flyer Orange. Every year they were sure this was the year. All that. As I said, I never really embraced the Flyers or hockey. And have become somewhat of a at least casual Knights fan here in Vegas, for reasons I just shared.

So Last night I received a phone call and a text from these two diehard Flyers fans, one whom I have only seen once since I left Philly, congratulating me and happy for me that the Golden Knights won.

Is that so fucking difficult, to be happy for someone else? You don't see that on these forums. When a real players shares that he hit or won something, I genuinely will relay that I am happy for them. If someone on these forums is a well known supporter of a team, even one I might not care for, I congratulate them when the team they root for wins a championship. I congratulated mickeycrimm, when one of the Montana colleges he followed did well in the division 2 football playoffs. That kind of thing.

On these forums it is all just fuck you, who cares. This is a collection of very negative and mean spirited people.
