My condolences to Jim's family. Jim, you were a brilliant programmer. Your video poker software was the best commercial VP software ever made IMHO.

WVP was definitely the best video poker software. It disappeared off my computer for some reason. Then I read in a forum he went out of business. So I had no way to get the software back. The software was downloaded from his site so I didn't have it on disc. I never knew if his shutting everything down caused me to lose it on my computer. I still had Frugal so copied it to a thumb drive.

Maybe, you deleted it by accident. I did that to a file once, but, had it back up in about ten minutes with the free part of the program from https://www.easeus.com/ . After installed, it will run for about five minutes to tell you all of the files that were ever on your computer. And, let you put a deleted one back into access. Unfortunately, or otherwise, depending on how you look at it, it can't bring back the dead. Ha.

Years ago, for fun, I wrote a five or six thousand line open source baccarat simulator with a real-time menu at the start to input what you wanted to simulate. I used to have it on the free storage sites, but, in those days, they would disappear, one by one. It's still on an old computer that I haven't used since. Discussed it at the Wizard's forum. Lots of people ran it, commented on it. One guy copied it, made a few changes in appearance, and, an executable app out of it, then, advertised it for sale. But, I was updating it quite a bit with new and crazier options, every month or two, to the point that he gave up trying to compete with me. I mean, there isn't any tree high enough that people won't climb for a buck.

I no longer have access to it either Mickey. What happened is my hard disk that had the WVP software I paid $50 for on it crashed on my old computer. When I tried to activate a trial copy using Jim's website on my new computer, I couldn't because Jim's site no longer existed and I could not get a hold of Jim to see if there was a work-around. I also have Frugal Video Poker which is great (but not anywhere near as powerful as WVP of course) and was also programmed by Jim.

He was a genius. I hope he gets into the Video Poker Hall of Fame - he deserves it.
