But I most of my play takes place in one location and involved less than 40 casinos. 2 teammates playing at the same table would be poison for what I do.

Nothing I do or don't do is by accident (well very little). I have tailored my game for my situation and for achieving longevity.

AP is for guys who gamble for a living; not me.

Without even getting into anything too specific, casinos know to look for "confederates" or players playing together at table games.

Did you see the movie "21" about the MIT blackjack team? As in many movies there were thing that weren't actual or factual, but there were also some things that were. One of the more factual things was that the Laurance Fishburne character, who was based on Andy Anderson of Griffin detective agency, better known as Griffin black book at the time, figured out that each time the player being looked at (big player in this case) sat down there was always the same or one of several people already at that table. THAT is how members of the MIT team were discovered and linked back to MIT and the Cambridge Mass area.

And this was in the 1990's. 30 years ago! Casino surveillance knows to look for confederates or players playing together at table games, even before they figure out what they might be doing. This is not the path to longevity.

I don't know exactly what my brother's long-term plans or goals are. I probably should ask, but I suspect he hasn't really planned anything. But I have. I have been at this 20 years in March. 15 years here in Vegas. And I would like to get another 5-10 years. Everything I do, is based on my top priority of longevity. For example, I have had the bankroll to play much higher stakes for years now. Higher stakes would mean higher win rate and winning. But those players that do that last a year or two and then end up writing books and running blackjack bootcamps.

Team play involving playing together at the same table is just a recipe for a short career.

Again this is just incorrect. The bootcamp guy had kids he’s made more then you realize. He decided that being a father at home was more important then money. Once you get to a certain number your priorities change. Not everyone is a psychopath like myself that for some reason has the motivation to run up the score day after day. I admit I have no balance and I’m wired different. The bootcamp guy could have continued to run a team for as long as he so desired. There are many different Advantage opportunities in casinos that teams exploit. Blackjack is just one thing. Again there are levels to everything. What is clear to everyone is you are not up to speed with what’s possible.

My brother and I are solo type card counters. I do a little bit of other AP stuff to supplement my blackjack play but 80% of my income is from blackjack card counting. And my brother it is even higher, better than 90% comes from card counting. And we are mid-level card counters that prefer not to travel much, so we play a rotation of casinos at one location, Las Vegas. So, I answered the question that was asked about our situation....why we don't play the same table. The answer it would be very detrimental to what we do and the way we play. It would not be conducive to continued longevity for our situation.
