I can't really imagine this being true but I guess there are panhandling laws so who knows. I guess people who ask for chips aren't going to be suing government entities over first amendment issues but lol...

There are laws against aggressive panhandling, you can't harass people into giving you money. But laws against politely asking someone for money have been struck down as a violation of free speech.

Most of the time I capture all the value of freeplay by using it a little at a time on advantage plays. But there are some casinos that have their advantage slots disqualified from using freeplay.

But, in general, the freeplay has the same value as the game you are playing. If you run it off on 9/6 Jacks video poker then the value is 99.54% of the freeplay, etc. Of course, it comes with some variance.

The easy, very low variance, way to grab at least 95% of the value of freeplay in the short term is to run it off playing video blackjack. Some of those games are as high as 100% payback. But even the worst paybacks, around 95%, are good to run freeplay off on. If you run off $200 in freeplay betting $1 at a time, don't take long, you will generally cash within 10% of that amount.

Tasha, you should pay attention to multiplier promotions on certain days of the week where you could be getting up to 5 or 6 times the base amount of freeplay.

And you don't have to worry about taxes when someone hits a handpay on your card. The person that signs the W2-G is on the hook for the taxes.

What you have to be on the lookout for is the floor attendant grabbing the card out of the machine to see the person's name.

In some joints, when I hit a handpay, when the floor attendant gets there I tell them I'm already in the computer. That's from hitting prior handpay(s) in that same casino. So they don't need my ID and SS card. They just grab my card out of the machine and write my name down.

I wasn't nervous about paying TAXES, I was nervous about the Casino Staff trespassing me when they saw my name on the Player's Club Card. :/ So I yanked it out, thanked the guy and then left and went to the guy only playing .90 on a game that's extremely hard to get a handpay on.
