In any case, my understanding is that card-counters practice.

At least that's what was portrayed in the movies.

Poker players practice too, they even have coaches who help them practice.

Anything that uses a method or a skill you need to practice. A system not so much because the system has rules. A method you're always making decisions constantly and because it's a skill you get better and better at it the more you practice. Card counting is a good example. I know the magician Ricky Jay practiced hours a day his entire life with cards and he was so good he was banned from every casino in the United States. He died a couple years ago but you can see his videos on YouTube. He would practice with the cards everywhere even when he was standing in line at his bank.

No, I generally don't visit Ploppy type forums that do not have quality posters. I have been to Gambling Forums once or twice to take a look at the format, but I already knew from what was posted here about it, that it is a Ploppy fest with many Trolls.

If your a serious player, there is nothing you can learn from a Forum full of people that believe in Gambling Fallacies. It will dumb you down.

Like I said In a previous post, we know the outcome of their system before they even give the details. The outcome equals the house edge for that particular game. No amount of streaks, table hopping, pressing your bet, betting on the winner, will change that. The outcome remains the same regardless of the tweaks that are made to it. Unless you have INFORMATION, that is not supposed to be known, otherwise you are waisting your time. At the most, a stratagy will increase or decrease variance, but the outcome remains the same.

KJ should start a thread on this, but I'll take an inept stab at it. In system world, gambling outcomes are all skill and no luck. But almost anything can be a skill element.

If I win any session ever at all, I've proven the game is beatable. But I don't know specifically what I did to beat it. Could involve bet selection or sizing, venue, time of day, lucky underwear.

Finding a successful system is a matter of trial and error. A failed system could have been successful in some other circumstance, and provides no information on any other systems. They're all different and must be tested individually.

That's what I do, I constantly gather information by using the previous outcomes even though they have no actual effect on future outcomes. No physical effect. But if you study it for a long enough time you get clues that let you make educated guesses as to what might be happening in the extreme short term over the next spin or two. There's only certain number of things 36 numbers can do, and I study them 12 numbers at a time in blocks of 12. So that breaks it down even more.

I bet the even chances flat bet only. Sometimes if I'm feeling slick I will make educated guesses to what all three even chance bets will be and I will bet those inside numbers. For instance if I think it's going to be red odd low I will bet the red odd low numbers, 1 3 5 7 9. You would be amazed at how often I get this right because it amazes me. I don't do this very often because online I only have 20 seconds to record the last spin make my decision where to bet and bet on five inside numbers. It's mind frazzling and I don't last for long so I usually stick to just making single even chance bets.
