I don't get why you would bring up a sex related thing when this is about someone aggressively pulling someone away from a slot game so that they could play it instead.

Well, that's the difference between us, I suppose.

Speaking of people harassing people off of machines, a guy said something like,"A man and a woman were sitting on either sides of an elderly woman. They both had around $100 in the machine and were literally playing just one penny a spin. I thought this was a huge red flag.

The man and woman were asking the elderly woman "Nice," questions that were frankly none of their business such as,"Are you from around here?" Do you have any Grandchildren?" My hackles were raised even though they were being"nice,". The man went to the elderly woman and begun getting REALLY mean saying stuff like,"I oughta kick your ass right now, you old hag!" The woman had pressed cash out on her and her friend's machine. The old lady was so scared she just wanted to leave.

She pressed cash out while looking at the man and not her ticket. All of a sudden, the man didn't want to be close to the elderly woman anymore and he and his friend left. The elderly woman looked for her ticket and told me it was gone. I explained what must have happened and she cried. I found Casino Staff Members and reported the theft. The Casino Staff checked the camera and were like,"The man and woman cashed in their tickets and the elderly woman's ticket and then ran out the front door."

I asked the Casino Staff if the elderly woman could be reimbursed for the money that was robbed, maybe in the form of free play. The Casino Staff said they wouldn't reimburse the stolen money because it was the elderly woman's responsibility to make sure she watched her TITO. I once again pointed out that the woman was scared out of her mind and then got ROBBED. The Casino Staff Member still refused to reimburse her the stolen money. The elderly woman cried even more. I felt so sorry for her and disgusted by the Casino Staff."

This one here was even more devious than bullying people to get them to leave their machines, this one was bullying an elderly woman so her ticket could be stolen.

I'll tell you what's even worse.

There's a shit load of places called "casinos" that get a fair percentage of their patrons addicted to playing their negative expectation games.

As a result of their gambling addiction many negative consequences flow, including poverty, divorce, even suicide.

    Can you believe it?

    Wow...

"Ah," as the Asian lady said in the massage parlor..."there's the rub."

Tasha cleverly inserted that she never heard this, someone else did and told her about it, i.e., "a guy said something like..."

Now whether this "guy" was a time traveling doppelganger, a fentanyl junkie or an aggrieved Walgreens employee is unknown, she'll need to fill in those blanks.

    But hey, her say hearsay.

    From Wikipedia:

“ An urban legend (sometimes contemporary legend, modern legend, urban myth, or urban tale) is a genre of folklore comprising claims or stories circulated as true, especially as having happened to a "friend of a friend" or a family member, often with horrifying, humorous, or cautionary elements.”

Yeah, like the guy with a hook for a hand on lover's lane...Tasha's tale of casino-woe rings about as true as Robert's brag of hitting $1.5M on one pull of a VP machine.

Memo to Tasha...stick to what you know to be true, what you have actually seen; if I want fiction I'll read the dawg's gambling posts; he is a much better novelist than you.

I had someone cash out my ticket but this was 100 percent my fault. My back was turned to the machine. The first time someone attempted it, I stopped it when I looked back saying something like,"Excuse me, my money's still in that machine and they left. The second time, I didn't check on my machine and someone cashed out my ticket. When I went to check on the machine the ticket was gone. I reported the cashed out ticket and the Casino Staff were like,"WHY didn't you cash out the ticket when you saw the first person attempting to cash it out? Why did you KEEP playing with your back to the game after that? " Forgone conclusion. I didn't get reimbursed the cashed out ticket either,

Yep, it was lame of me to keep playing with my back to the machine. I definitely should have learned my lesson when the first person tried to cash out my ticket.

This morning, I saw the "Do We Live In a Simulation?" thread, on the WoV. I was thinking that I might have thrown up a post were I still over there, and, so, I guess, things worked themselves out, unconsciously speaking, in a different way.

    You are about to make post #5500 = 55*50*2 ---> 555_555, which involves 5's instead of 4's, as 5 = (4 + 1).

Anyway, a proof that our world is simulated requires two things: a maximum processor speed, and, maximum memory capacity, of the computer in question. Using the speed of light, for the former is problematic because the speed of light, in a given medium, may not be exactly constant. And, how to have a different speed of light for the world of the computer in question, than for the simulated world? Moreover, for the latter, who's to say that the simulated world is finite, in terms of the information stored in it? I think that all of that leads to simulated worlds "all the way down" sort of nonsense.

Like I used to tell the gematria crowd, the numerals have no meaning unless directly tied into specific bits of math, and the corresponding physics, which removes the "all the way down" nonsense, by having totally different types of math, and physics, at each level. For example, my fundamental constants, which I put up a few months ago, revolve around the numeral, 2^8 = 0256, for dimension-8, and, the numeral, 2^12 = 4096, for dimension-12, directly in their formations.

The maximum value that could be represented by an 8-bit number is 255, so the range would be 0—255 (256 values). You can work the number of values quickly by calculating 2^n, where n is the number of bits available, for example 28 = 256 values.
