Speaking of Good Samaritans who ended up being in BIG trouble, a Good Samaritan who was just minding her own business was at a gas station and looked down and saw a credit card on the counter. She, trying to do the right thing, ran out of the gas station and gave it to a woman who had JUST left. You guys know where this is going, right? I'll tell it anyways.
The other Woman was like,"Thank you for giving me my forgotten credit card!" The Good Samaritan was like,"No problem, it's the right thing to do." The Good Samaritan went back to the gas station. A little while later, the Good Samaritan had warrants out for her arrest!
The Good Samaritan went to the Police Station to clear her name as she had done absolutely nothing wrong. Lo and behold, she was interrogated like a Criminal. She realized she could be potentially in BIG trouble and she smartly was like,"I want a Lawyer," but unfortunately, the Cops interrogated her more and then put her in handcuffs and she spent like three days in jail, got this put on her previously spotless record, and lost her job that she had for decades! :O
It turns out, the woman the Good Samaritan gave the credit card to was NOT the credit card owner, she was a thief who went on a huge shopping spree on another woman's credit card. The Good Samaritan ended up in big trouble for accidentally giving a credit card to the wrong person who ended up being a thief. The news Anchor even pointed out that the Good Samaritan only had the credit card for about 15 seconds. At the Good Samaritan's Court Case, the Judge was disgusted that the Cops put a Good Samaritan in jail. The Good Samaritan was free to go.
The kicker is, the Woman who ACTUALLY stole the credit card and went on a HUGE shopping spree wasn't jailed.
