So I ask this question of you, MrV and a few others. What is it about Karen (is that the name we are using now) that brings this kind of hate out in you guys?

Sure she can be annoying with all the new threads, usually off topic. And all the sock puppets, but that really seems more like an issue for forum owners/administrators. Is it that she is a female? (if that is the story we are sticking with) or dark skinned? Or lower income/education?

The abuse and harassment that freely flows from you guys seems disproportionate to me, for just a bit of annoyance of a member. I don't see where she has actually said or done anything that would actually cause anyone any harm. I don't get it.

I guess I have 2 real issues with Karen. One is some kind of weird association with WoN, that I am still foggy about. It would be like if I knew someone was friends or had an association with Hitler, I am most definitely hold that against them. This WoN connection just hasn't been explained away to my satisfaction.

The second issue I have with Karen was a female pretending to be a male (Nathan). In fairness, this may be more my issue than hers. For me, it bumps up against the whole transgender movement popular today that I am most uncomfortable with. I am a gay guy and there is homosexuality present among most animal species. It is not that unusual, no matter how much some may hate it. But a boy (male) wanting to be a girl or vice versa, just doesn't work for me.

I get Tasha's Nathan thing probably wasn't any of that. Just hits too close for me. Again, more my issue than hers.
