I'd also like to know how the 3 foreign mathematicians he claims verified it were able to do it without it being written down.

This is about as funny as it gets.
Why don't we wait to see what Rob posts?

Plus about a third of it is in German--something I told Frank but he said he speaks the language too. I'll keep thinking and I'm sure I'll figure out the best way to do it.
Yeah, it wouldn't mean much alright, because it's all BS. You can't have math that proves a betting system will work and also have math that proves a betting system cannot work. That is like saying you can prove 2+2=5. I posted a link to a proof that a betting system cannot work a few months ago. That's it. That proves Singer is lying.

As for Deutsch .. das is nicht problemo mein herr (perfect gerspanglish).

Arc, give Rob a chance to post all of his info. Then everyone can see it. Then give us your interpretation of it. The door is open for Rob. He says he will do it. Now, let's see what he does. Then you can make your full analysis and I guarantee you "equal time" here to make it.

Until then, my own Deutsch comment... knacht it offen.

Arci's only inputting his sour grapes because he really won't know what to do when it's posted. Can you imagine the amount of distraught that'll be on display? I predict he'll be so shaken he won't even be able to boil water...ie, NOTHING will come before his insatiable need to do whatever he can to try and invalidate what his disbelieving eyes will see! Sort of like how he handles stress these days.

Alan, I asked if scanning the pages would work. That "highly structured language" arci tries to sound impressive with does not translate well when there are several hundred pages of worksheets. That's why I can only think of scanning them as working unless you have another idea. Now you see why arci backed out twice when I invited him to review this. It feels better to hide behind his computer pretending it doesn't exist, that feels good, and he doesn't ever want that feeling to end. Too bad for him reality always wins out over theory. Let his worst nightmare countdown begin.

  6. #246
You knock it off too, Rob. If you have spare time, work on posting it. Let's get it all out there.

  7. #247
There's no need to post worksheets. Just the equations that support your claims should do.

BTW, almost all printers that have a scan function come with an OCR utility. This is old technology that I worked on over 20 years ago. Should be a piece of cake to scan it in, use the OCR to create a document and send it to Alan. I expect it should be coming in about ..... never.

This isn't one of your boring science magazines arci. The equations ARE on the worksheets along with the notes, mostly in English, about a third in German, and some in Arabic & Chinese--but those two have translations already there because I can't read those languages. I have a one year old Dell printer/scanner etc. I've never heard of that punch card era "technology" you brought up.

BTW, along with your usual Internet searches you do on forums so you can twist the truth, I see you went thru the trouble of looking up how to write a short sentence in German. Make it look like you're wordly while you can get a break these days. You haven't been overseas, and the only states you been to are the ones between Minn. & LV, IF they have Indian casinos that is....

    You're so much FUN!

You've never heard of optical character recognition? What cave have you been living in?

Totally hilarious. The reason I called that sentence gerspanglish is because it used German and Spanish words but was written with English sentence structure. BTW, I had 3 years of German long, long ago. I can read and write it a little but never could understand it when spoken. Of course, there are all kinds of translation software programs available today. The wonders of technology you've missed living in that cave.

Or it could be that as a boss, I simply passed onto the dept. managers that which I required, and they had their geeks use whatever tools thru had at their disposal in order to get it to me ASAP--with my caring not in the least how they got the info. And I never had a lot of time or patience, which meant I stayed away from the numbers crunchers and software engineering nerds as much as possible. They had the patents on how to waste time talking about the most meaningless of things, and how to bore regular people to tears by rambling on about what excited them.

A boss of a technology group that doesn't understand enough of the technology to even decode the acronyms. Yeah, right.

Does anyone with a couple of working neurons believe this BS?

  12. #252
Acronyms from the '70's? Get real. I suppose those are the things one would remember when they have no real life in the present. Wanna know what "acronyms" mean something to me today? Here's a hint: it has something to do with the steak & seafood restaurant I'm taking my wife to tonight. And it's not BK!

  13. #253
Here's a little help for the Mr. technology challenged.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Optical...er_recognition

Note the usage in tablet PCs. Completely demolishes your inference that this is not relevant today. But, I recognize the old-timer in you where about the only thing you can compute is your next meal.

  14. #254
How silly you are when you attempt to deflect arci I said you are the one with no real life today--not the acronym.

Ooh...ooh...I do keep track of my next meal everyday, because it's fun planning them or where I'm going out to with the missus! Ain't retirement fun?

Rob, when you have the documents all together, we will decide the best and most efficient way to put them online. You could take your documents and create a file on your computer and send me the file and I can simply upload files to the website page by page.

Or you could upload your documents to a photo hosting service and then show those pages on a new Forum thread (page).

I don't know how many pages there are, but I would suggest some sort of cover sheet or index if there are many pages. And if we need to do another video interview, we can do that.

  16. #256
If Mr. technology challenged can't figure out how to use a scanner he could just take the paper to Staples and they will create a PDF that Alan can copy into his site.

So simple a cave man could do it.

  17. #257
OK Alan, I'll figure it out. When I get it I'll check for pages that are understandable vs. those that aren't because of scibbles or whatever. I'll also see if I can do some sort of summary. An interview PRIOR to putting it up would be necessary to preclude jealous people like arci from making more false accusations like he was found doing on the phoney slot card charge.

Interesting the Cave Man analogy came up again. These RV's are sometimes called Man-Caves....of course, with a real woman's touch.
