Thread: the two big "single machine" progressives in Las Vegas

  1. #1
There are two big progressive jackpots in Las Vegas that are only available on single machines.

MGM has its "Majestic Lions" machine that was somewhere above $2-million dollars. It is the last of a bank of progressive machines and the progressive remains for someone to hit on only one machine. (If my info is out of date and it's been hit, please let us know!)

Caesars Palace has a single Red-White-Blue 7s progressive machine on its floor that, at last check, was about $460-thousand. This is the last of another group of progressive machines.

The MGM progressive machine continues to grow its jackpot with additional plays however, the Caesars Palace machine progressive jackpot has stopped increasing with additional plays.

Does anyone have info on this?

Gaming regulations in Nevada say progressive jackpot amounts must be returned to the players which means either the jackpot must be hit before the game is retired or the progressive amount must be distributed to other games.

MGM is following that rule. The Majestic Lions machine is still there until someone hits the big pay day.

But while the big jackpot remains on the lone 777 machine at Caesars -- the jackpot is not growing with additional play. Does this mean that the "program" or "chip" has been changed so that it is no longer a "progressive" and it has a fixed jackpot, or what?

If anyone has any info, please let us know. Thanks.
