Thread: Things we see or hear in a casino that amaze us.

Did you see or hear something in a casino that amazed you?

My three favorite "amazing things" are these:

    1. I look down at the middle of craps table, in front of where the box man is sitting and I see two white tiles, about four inches by four inches -- like those you would see on a bathroom wall, and on the tiles is written "1,000,000" and these were lamers indicating that a player took a one million dollar marker. And then I look to the left and the player has filled his rail with $25,000 chips and the "rail space" takes up two positions, with both "lines" in the rail filled.

    2. A man in a business suit in line at the cage at Caesars palace. In his left hand, fully exposed, is what appears to be a brick of $100 bills about the size of a large box of tissues. He was either making a deposit or paying off a marker.

    3. A woman from Japan is at the cage with her host. It appears it is the end of her trip and they are speaking in Japanese and the cashier at the cage is doing some paperwork and talking on the phone. That's when a Supervisor comes from the back room carry a box filled with cash. The "box" is about 12 inches by 12 inches. The box is placed on the counter and the cashier says to the woman: "Okay, you're paying off your markers for 60-thousand dollars and you have $190,000 remaining." That's when the supervisor says to her, "Did you have a good trip?"

At the Tropicana A C. $5 BJ table years ago. Stopped the game while an entourage of security guards arrives with a single pumpkin ($1000 chip). Paraded this single chip in their plexiglass locked box in front of the full table for 10 minutes before signing over to the pit boss, manager and dealer. I think it was a psychological ploy as the BJ table tray was certainly not lacking in chips.
