I haven't been at Caesars Palace since they added a bad beat jackpot in their poker room.
Here is the info from the Caesars website:
Qualify for our Progressive Bad Beat Jackpot starting at $10,000! Any quads or better beaten wins 40% of the progressive jackpot for the losing hand, 20% of the progressive jackpot for the winning hand, and an equal table share split for all other players at the table of the remaining 40%. Both hole cards must play, four players minimum at the table, and the pot must contain $10 to qualify.
Jackpot will increase daily. Promotion runs 24 hours a day, seven days a week!
What other casinos have bad beat jackpots in Vegas? I checked the Bellagio and Venetian websites and no mention of bad beat jackpots there.
While the odds of being in a bad beat hand are about 1 in 42,000 (similar to a royal flush), the chance of being at a table with a bad beat hand are much better, and bad beat jackpots do make certain poker rooms more attractive.
