The officials hope we will all stay home and and off the freeways during Carmageddon II this coming weekend. They fear all of the freeways in the metropolitan Los Angeles area could become congested as travelers seek alternate routes because of the closure of the 405 between the 10 and the 101 freeways.

The officials are hoping we will all stay "local" and walk to local points of interest.

The same warning was issued for Carmageddon I and the result was the freeways were empty, business was almost at a standstill, retail sales plummeted, the restaurant business died, and no one went anywhere.

So what will you do this time around? Will you cocoon again, or stay local, or this time take a freeway ride somewhere?

By the way if you do decide to stay home, we have a Best Buys TV Show on Saturday at 5:30-PM on KTLA Channel 5. I'm hoping for a huge TV audience with plenty of Carmageddonphobics staying off the roads.
