My background is about 10 years as a Diamond in their hey-day years, one as 7-Stars, and I've been Gold for the past several years with very little CET play. I've been to every one of the CET properties around the US and Canada because of comp nights everywhere, and I put in very limited play in all but the Nevada & once in the southern market. My biggest wins have been two $10 royals at the Rio, one $50k hit (4 A's w/kicker on $25) at Caesar's LV, and a $50k hit (on $25 TDBP) at the now closed Harrahs Tunica. That last one, along with some play in New Orleans, got me my only 7-Stars card, which is now long gone due to very little play.
So what happens now? I thought nothing. But in this month's mail I received the Total Rewards magazine, and in it were several coupon offers that seemed to want me back so much it hurts.
Yes, I just booked a motor trip thru the south in Dec. Harrahs Roadhouse Tunica offered $600 in free play, up to 5 nights, and $100 food; Harrahs Gulf Coast (Biloxi) offered $350 free play, up to 5 free nights, and $50 food; and Harrahs New Orleans offered up $400 in free play, up to 5 free nights, and $150 in food.
For a GOLD player? Well, yes. And it's just gonna hurt them even more, because I'm a disciplined player who won't ever play one cent more than the free play they've offered at these out-of-the-way places. But wait!....maybe I could claim stomach pains and the runs after a meal at Besh, or maybe I could slip on a wet spot in Harrahs Biloxi! SURELY, a Big Check is just around the corner!
