Thread: Oh the irony of the online video poker games offered...

Oh the irony of the online video poker games offered at Caesars.com ... the website of Caesars Entertainment where Total Rewards members can find info about their offers and comps and points.

The irony is not that Caesars offers free-play-casino games on its website (it's had them for a while) but the irony is that the pay tables on the online games are better than what you will find at Caesars casinos in Vegas.

For example the Double Double Bonus video poker game has a 9/6 paytable and at Caesars the best you will find is 9/5. The Bonus poker game has an 8/5 pay table online and at Caesars anything less than a $5 game pays 7/5. And the online Bonus poker game has a premium payout for a straight flush.

You would think that having a better paytable online than in the actual casino might cause some resentment? Maybe just a little?

Many casino companies are now adding free-to-play online games on their websites both to draw interested gamblers and to familiarize its players with future play-for-money online casinos should they be legalized soon.

Caesars already has a play-for-money online casino in Europe, and several of the U.S. casino companies ready to roll out play-for-money online poker sites as laws allow them to.

Several casinos already have play-for-free online poker sites which could easily be converted to play-for-money sites.

There is also irreconcilable irony that our famous name AP's have delivered to the vp community for years now, about how when the games they played were over 100% by themselves, these people continuously claimed they'd quit playing for good once those went away. Of course, they didn't, and instead started doing exactly what they said they'd never be caught dead doing: they started adding in slot club benefits and freebies into the equation just to keep on justifying continued play. Then when paytables were further reduced they created positive plays out of thin air by adding in comps, rooms, desperate & nonsensical tournament "theoretical" value, and some even placed value on the amount of smiles they received from their hosts.

Even with all the BS these hypocrites have given us, I still like the one piece of information we just recently saw here from arci. In a discussion with Alan, he claimed he'd stop playing the moment those positive machines were removed from that Minn. Indian casino. Oh really?....for someone who should've quit long ago when his Mrs. fell ill and needed him home for support 24/7, yet he can't live without 6-7 hours a week inside the casino? Does that sound like the MO of someone who'd simply kick the habit because of a PAYTABLE?! HaHa!

Hey Rob, ever hear the phrase "hijack a thread"? Well that's what you're doing. Since there are other readers of these threads, would you mind keeping to topic? There are plenty of other threads where you could have posted your comments above.

Alan, that's the problem you have with a pathological liar. They just can't stop.

BBut...but....I can't wait for that delicious upcoming KFC Christmas Day take-home "feast" being advertised on TV! They say most of it can even be pureed if needed (for added flavor, of course)

His obsession to turn nearly everything into a "bash Arci and mention his wife" event has evolved into some sort of perverted enjoyment. It speaks volumes.
