Mickey's going to be horribly confused. Have I worked with power ratings? Sure. Do I actually use them to wager on college football? No, power ratings are of very limited value in a sport with disparate scheduling, a total of 12 games, weather conditions, and when the goal of some games is to show as little of who you really are as possible. To quote Losing My Religion, "Oh no, I've said too much. I haven't said enough."

Now, please don't ask me if I use trends. LOL. I do, but not in the way you might think. I'm not a trendsvestite.

And of course I can't speak for The Riddler.

So did the riddler get rid of E R Ditz or did E R Ditz have a published bad run and retire?

If you find any published bad runs by ER or The Riddler, you should probably copy and paste them here.

Of course -- and here is The Bard's rub, if you DON'T find any published bad runs by either, you should adopt your own set of principles and post that YOU HAVE NEVER FOUND BAD RUNS BY EITHER. If you have looked for bad runs by The Riddler, and found none, for example, the honest, legitimate way to address the issue is to REPORT that you found no bad play.

Because, drum roll, if you do not do that, YOU ARE GUILTY OF DOING WHAT YOU ARE CRITICIZING. You are selectively reporting and staying silent if you have nothing bad to report. If you have searched for bad Riddler outcomes, and found none, then it behooves an honest reporter to say exactly that. Otherwise, you are guilty of not practicing what you expect from others. You have become the ultimate dishonest hypocrite.

Now, if your response is that, "Gee, I only searched for five minutes so my finding nothing bad doesn't count," well, what does that say about how you usually search all topics?

Be a hypocrite or don't be. That is the question.

I did make Who's Who in Sports Gambling Nobodies back in 1984, however, at the tender age of 27. I must admit, however, that when I had the best or second best ATS record after 20+ years in The Wise Guys Plus Random Nobodies Contest, they gave me one of Stan Lee's famous No-Prizes for being the Nobody with the best record (comic book aficionados will know whereof I speak).

In fact, I've accumulated many No-Prizes in my day. When Billy Walters asked Playbook who he should hire, they said "Nobody." And my phone rang the next day.

Ah, if only I lived in Montana, where being Nobody means something. I hear they carve your ass on a mountain and stuff.

I had an uncle who developed Altheimer's/dementia at an early age, I guess around 50 years old. He was in the veteran's hospital in Coatesville and later moved to a nursing facility, when I lived in Philly area. My Grandmother handled his financial needs, making sure SS and veterans benefits were paid to the hospital. Really that stuff was on auto pilot but there had to be a family member as more or less a contact person. So as my grandmother got older, she really could no longer be that person. So she asked me to be.

I didn't know my uncle well, but since I was the person, I visited him several times (in the nursing facility by this time). Everything he said, was about things that happened in his life 40 years prior, when he was in his teens and early 20's. I don't think he even knew what year it was or who was president, but he knew and told you about shit from 40 or 50 years ago like it was relevant.

I see that same thing in Redietz. I think this guy thinks it is 1984. Or that what he did in 1984, matters to anyone.

Not what YOU think it tells you.

My family didn't kick me out. One man, the man my mother re-married kicked me out. And fast foward 20+ years and both the other people in that family, my family, moved across country to live with or near me and be a part of my life. While that one man, lived alone with no family and eventually died alone with no family by his side or in his life, not even his own biological son.

NOW, what does THAT tell you?

Go look up something called GamePlan magazine and when they began publishing. I was using GamePlan's power ratings when I was 13 and kept notebooks comparing their ratings, which had to be adjusted every week by me for all teams, to the UPI selections, the AP selections, a local sportswriter's selections, and my selections. I advertised in GamePlan when I was 21 years old, a full-page ad which I designed and laid out, no less. I still have one of those notebooks from when I was 13.

I WASN'T TALKING ABOUT GAMEPLAN POWER RATINGS OR ANY OTHER POWER RATINGS EXCEPT THOSE POWER RATINGS GENERATED BY THE COMPUTER GROUP AND USED BY BILLY WALTERS. YOU KNOW, WHERE TEAM A HAS A POWER RATING OF 7 AND TEAM B HAS A POWER RATING OF 4, SO BILLY HAS 3 STAR BET ON TEAM A.

DON'T YOU HAVE ANY READING COMPREHENSION? YOU READ THE FUCKING BOOK. YOU MET UP WITH YOUR PROFESSOR FRIENDS AT THE JOHNSON CITY GAY MEN'S BOOK CLUB TO DISCUSS IT. I DON'T THINK YOU FUCKERS LEARNED A DAMNED THING FROM THE BOOK.

WALTERS USED A COMPUTER TO MAKE HIS PICKS SINCE 1982. WHAT EXPERIENCE DO YOU HAVE WITH COMPUTER HANDICAPPING? I SUSPECT IT'S ZILCH. NADA. NOTHING.

WALTERS OUTCLASSED YOU. HE'S IN THE SPORTS GAMBLING HALL OF FAME. HOW ABOUT YOU? YOU TALK LIKE YOU THINK YOU'RE THE BEST THERE IS. A WHOLE LOT OF SPORTS BETTORS DO IT BETTER THAN YOU. BE A MAN AND ADMIT IT.

I think I probably have a few decades on you regarding the use and keeping of "power ratings." So I have no idea what you are blathering on about. I was criticized when I was 20 for relying too much on math and "power ratings." Now I'm criticized for relying too little on math and "power ratings." LOL. I'm doing the same stuff.

YOU DON'T HAVE ANY EXPERIENCE WITH THE COMPUTER GROUP'S POWER RATINGS.

Do you know how idiotic it is, utilizing pure computer ratings, to try to lump a sport like college football, with disparate scheduling, weather, and a 12-game schedule, in with a sport like college basketball, with a huge interconnected scheduling matrix, no weather but different visual environments, and a 35-game "season?"

DO YOU KNOW HOW IDIOTIC IT IS TO IGNORE WALTERS' SUCCESS WITH HIS COMPUTER GROUP POWER RATINGS?

You are out of your depth when you address these things. I am being kind.

INSULTS WON'T HELP AS YOU DEFLECT FROM YOUR INCOMPETENCE.

You do realize the "computer-derived" phrase you use means absolutely nothing. Go ahead, explain how "computer-derived" means something. Is it different from "hand-held calculator derived?" or "abacus-derived?" Or "Sheldon Cooper at a chalkboard-derived?" Do you mean "partially derived," "minimally derived," "completely derived" or what? Learn some precision, for God's sake.

    IRRELEVANT, STRAWMAN BULLSHIT.

Wake up, man. You must realize you have no blessed idea what you're really talking about.

SPOKEN LIKE A TRUE FAILURE. STINGS LIKE A BITCH, DON'T IT? YOUR MORONIC SPIEL DON'T FOOL ANYONE AROUND HERE, SPORTSQUACK.

Mickey, don't sugarcoat it. Tell me how you really feel.

You know, we'd make a great team on Munchkin's show. You and me, baby, sharing an hour of no hold barred hijinks.

See if you can put that together for us, will you?

I hope you do actual programming, just so you can detail your wizardry. I know, I know, my significant other programs a bit, and the dude at the table with me in the Retro thread programs a lot, but I figure you have them beat by a mile. They are brother and sister, by the way (I hope the same last name didn't give them away).

Anyway, you keep grinding, mickey. Write that code! Tote that water (I'd say tote that bourbon, but my understanding is you're off the good stuff).

And it should be, "Your moronic spiel DOESN'T fool anyone around here." No charge for the English lesson.

    Keep grindin', buddy!

Let me know if you have words of wisdom for The Riddler. He left the building. Undefeated, last I checked, in terms of his recommendations making money each time. How the hell does he do that, anyway? He probably programs when nobody is looking. Wait, I'm Nobody. So I need to correct that. He probably programs when Nobody ISN'T looking.

    Much better.

IT'S YOUR TURN TO SEE IF YOU CAN PUT A PODCAST TOGETHER. I RECOMMENDED YOU TO MUNCHKIN FOR GWAE. YOU WERE IN QUICK CONTACT WITH HIM. YOU LED US ON FOR MONTHS SAYING YOU WERE GOING TO DO THE PODCAST. THEN MUNCHKIN TOLD ME YOU TURNED HIM DOWN AT THE START. YOU LIED TO US FOR MONTHS ABOUT IT UNTIL I CONTACTED MUNCHKIN AND FOUND OUT THE TRUTH.

THEN I CONTACTED MUNCHKIN ABOUT YOU DOING LIFE IS A GAMBLE. YOU PULLED THE SAME SHIT. SO TWO STRIKES AND YOU ARE OUT!

THE BALL IS IN YOUR COURT, DITZ. YOU WANT TO DO A PODCAST THEN ARRANGE IT YOURSELF. BUT IF I'M ON THE PODCAST TOO I WON'T BE ANSWERING ANY QUESTIONS. I'LL BE ASKING QUESTIONS. I WON'T EVEN ANSWER IF YOU ASK ME HOW THE WEATHER IS. THE SPOTLIGHT WILL BE ON YOU AND YOU ALONE. SO PUT IT TOGETHER, SPORTSQUACK. I WON'T HOLD MY BREATH.

YOUR FRIENDS MAY PROGRAM BUT YOU DON'T. MY SURGEON HAS PERFORMED 3 SURGERIES ON ME. I KNOW HIM PRETTY GOOD NOW. HEY, THAT MEANS I CAN PERFORM SURGERY, RIGHT, DITZ? YOU ARE FUCKING DENSE. GET A CLUE.

Anyway, you keep grinding, mickey. Write that code! Tote that water (I'd say tote that bourbon, but my understanding is you're off the good stuff).

I QUIT GRINDING WHEN THE VIDEO POKER PLAYS DRIED UP 20 YEARS AGO. ADVANTAGE SLOTS IS NOT A GRIND. ADVANTAGE SLOTS ARE EASY PEASY. IT'S LIKE A LIFELONG VACATION.

And it should be, "Your moronic spiel DOESN'T fool anyone around here." No charge for the English lesson.

YOU ARE CORRECT. YOUR MORONIC SPIEL DOESN'T FOOL ANYONE AROUND HERE.

Mickey, it wasn't me winning all those times. It was The Riddler. Surely you can take solace in being upstaged by a supervillain as opposed to me.

And you're kind of missing the point. Since you read Mr. Walters' book so carefully, let me know on what pages he says he did any programming himself. I'll wait.

See, if Mr. Walters didn't do any programming himself, but he won using computers, as you say, then why is there something wrong with me using programs but not doing the programming?

You want to go on a podcast and not answer questions? Well, I don't blame you. If I were you, on a podcast with me, I wouldn't want to answer questions, either. I give you credit.

You're a clown if you think I'd research any record of yours.

I offered you a bet for a small amount of 1k and you refused with some bullshit.

I'm not putting up any record of mine so how can I be guilty of what I am criticizing? I've made 0 claims about my sports betting prowess.

Look - if you're anywhere near the hotshot you want people to think then why not just put your picks up where people can see them and score them. That kinda the normal thing to do. Instead you hop around these multi-personality disordered dipshit.

For a guy who rants about how no one shows any proof of anything and blah blah it makes even less sense you obscure your picks in layers of gibberish.

Like .. you expect people to "research" you.

So in fairness I will say this - Gee, I only searched for 0 minutes so my finding nothing bad doesn't count. Thats what I'm hearing you wanting me to say. So goofy.

Your using these multiple identities still doesn't make sense but the fact you are looking for investors after having been in that game for 40 years pretty much tells us what we need to know.

No comment but if you put yourself in a field of gambling for 40 years one goddam hopes you had one noteworthy year.
