When someone says they didn't read the post, it means only one thing. THEY READ THE POST! We all spend way to much time on this forum. We don't log on multiple times a day and spend all that time to not read the posts. That is just something that is said when the person has no answer for what was written.

I wonder? Does this work in the courtroom? Can an attorney say "Your honor, I didn't read the brief because it was 3 or 4 paragraphs long?"

On Norm's blackjack forum, there is/was a chatroom. That was an area that members could jump into to have conversations without typing out all the communications in posts on the forum. Mostly it was just a few members jumping into an impromptu chat. But a half dozen times or so (while I was a member) there was an invited guest. Often a well known successful AP type. Other times an attorney specializing in gambling "issues" And one time, it was a former surveillance guy that had just ended his several decades run at a strip casino. After the chat, I asked if there was a way I could communicate with him and he provided an email. We communicated for a period of time. Not too long. He provided some invaluable information for a mid-level card counter playing this town.

The second guy, also came from a forum. I am not going to say which one. It is known that he works in the casino industry, but it is not known that the position is surveillance except for a few people he told privately. I was one of them. And I picked his brain, off and on for a year or so. Didn't want to be too much of a bother, so it was just occasional.

THAT is the benefit of gambling forums. Not this one, because this really isn't a gambling forum anymore. Hasn't been for most of my time here. But you can be put in touch with people you otherwise wouldn't. From people who work in the industry to potential teammate. I am not really interested in the teammate situations, but others have benefited.

But again, none of that occurs here. here we have nothing but trolling. It is not a gambling forum.

BTW, Norms forum was also vbulletin, same as here, so I am sure a chat feature is available here. Druff just chooses not to have it.

In case you ever retire "kewlj" and reinvent yourself under a new username, you should understand it's not just what you write that makes most people question your credibility, but how you write it. So many irrelevant details for what? Just to say you had an online conversation with a casino surveillance employee?

And still it does not prove what you are desperate to make everyone believe: that you know more about casino surveillance than anyone else and all casinos work the same way. Tasha's gambling hijinks disprove much of your absolutist "all," "everyone," "nobody" blather.

With Dancer, I remember writing a very complimentary review in my GT column of his MDVP book when it was released, because it was such a good read compared to his other publications. And that came at a time when we were regularly at each other's throats on forums and elsewhere. He did reach out and thanked me though, as he was very surprised.

Everyone....every "name" in video poker has had their own individual career. But Bob has contributed more to the history of the game than anyone else.
