Now I'm a big fan of bonus whoring and middles shooting, but realistically, they account for maybe 5% of what gets wagered in this country. So if people want to wave a magic EV wand when discussing bonus whoring and middles shooting, that's completely justifiable and correct. But if you are wading into actual straight betting and think you have some "EV" insight, you have literally no idea what you are doing. In this latter case, "EV" is just jargon in service of self-aggrandizing.

My buddy Randy McKay plays the handicapping contests too, deetz. I've known him for almost 30 years. We used to work the same plays in Laughlin in the late 90's. I know him well enough that I know he has a big grip on risk of ruin. He plays the 50K's so I know his bankroll is at least 7 figures. He wouldn't play them otherwise. He's good friends with Krackomberger. He came to Laughlin as a substitute school teacher. He's come a long way since then
