I played hockey into my mid-40's recreationally and semi-pro. Had skills--good hands--never could skate good enough.

In those days, it was hard to take the fav in the puck line because the games were so close. It looks like you have been more successful doing it.

    Great Post.
    Good Read.
    Good Finish.
    Nicely Done!

In that era, of which you speak, the lines were tighter so you could take the money line and lay.
Also the Under was more of the target for me.
The game was way more physical and fighting was real.
You try to run up the score and they would send some goons after you.
    Plus the rules were different.
No Two Line Pass which is actually a bad play statistically speaking.
Dump and Chase was real but they seem to use it more these days.
Not sure why you would want to give up the puck at the blue line when you have control?
I guess it favors the more physical and speedy team.
I would much rather teams carry the puck into the zone.
The scoring and scoring chances are better for carrying it in compared to dumping it in.
I don't have the numbers off hand but you can look it up.
    That's Fact.

Two major problems I have that are a good reason for giving this daily grind up.
I'm not getting rated and I'm not shopping lines.
    Take for instance today.
    I took Colorado -1.5 at +115.
I knew the correct line is at least +120 but I didn't want to shop around town.
I wanted to pick up my 3000 dollars in Free Play between two Casinos and get a Hockey bet or two down.
Oddly enough it turned out that Casino number two had the +120 line.
So that costs me 20 dollars.
Do that a few thousand times and it hurts.
Obviously everyone knows that you have to shop lines to get the best numbers.

The book is just too slow for me, really.
I'm doing it to provide some fun for me and entertainment for everyone who reads this thread.
But I'm starting to understand the power of 5% to 20% differentials in lines.
I could care less about winning and losing but I hate not getting the best price.
That shit is starting to bother me.

I hope you post more and give us your advice.
I'm pretty sure you are the Horse player.
    Horse Shit!
    Horse Player!!
If you haven't seen the movie Factotum you should watch it as that is a quote from the movie.

I seen that Exhibition Baseball was going today.
Time for dannyJ to earn his keep around here.
