Guess why the Golden Knights had their post-Stanley Cup celebration at Circa. Guess why they require ID to enter the property. Guess why they were the first ones I went to with a $400k offer to play. Guess why they only hire show-level bartenders. Guess why they charge $2000/bottle of Patron reposado at their unequaled pool and cabanas. Guess why half of LA's upper echelon empties out and fills Circa's rooms every weekend. And guess why Barry's Downtown and the Legend Club stand alone in being the city's best in their categories.

Yes downtown is an overall shithole. But Circa is as luxurious and classy as ANYPLACE on the Strip.

If you look at downtown as just a revenue organism, Circa and the GN combined account (see what I did there?) for a huge portion of downtown revenue. When you look at the C and D level properties on the strip, like Treasure Island, Linq, Harrah's, Bally's, Circus-Circus, Luxor, even Planet Hollywood, they drag the overall demographics way down.

From a gambling perspective, strip per person gambling budgets are only marginally higher than downtown, and 15 years ago both (surprisingly) were less than the per person gambling spend in Laughlin.

I also need to add that the LV Visitors' Bureau reported downtown visitation was up to 53% from 39-ish%, which they opined was likely due to Circa.
