I agree with the sentiment behind the idea but strongly disagree the problem rises the the point of not needing governing intervention. Maybe on a larger scale but not the Strip specifically.

I can have my car drive me to a casino that has just as many slot machines but with far better odds. A nice hotel/resort. Bowling alley. Movie theater. Like Red Rock. It takes about the same time to fly there if you consider all the travel time. Granted if your car doesn't drive (poor souls) then the trip is a lot less enjoyable.
