If a poster stops posting it could be something like they died or are having health issues, or are afraid of being doxxed, or had a major life change like a new job or lost their log in information, or went to jail or prison, or rehab.

Or they won the lottery and were advised to go dark, or they switched genders and no long feel comfortable posting as someone assumed to be of the other gender, or they lost their thumbs in an accident and forum posting is too physically painful, or they escaped from prison and don't want to be located by their posting history.
