"Regular gamblers" is another way of saying degenerate gamblers. Degenerate gamblers have all sorts of little tricks that they use (appropriately names tricks) because all they are doing is tricking themselves. These "tricks" change NOTHING in the longrun.
So here's what I take away from your statement: You are basically conceding Singer is a degenerate gambler applying these silly little tricks and goofy phrases like "soft profits" to trick himself and more importantly anyone who will listen to him.
"Soft profits".....ridiculous. Changes nothing in the long run. These silly stop limits, with whatever label you want to put on them, change nothing in the long run.
