You are correct. Alan's use of a sock puppet is not the traditional use of making it seem like there are more people agreeing with or supporting one side of an argument or discussion, as Rob and other banned members of this forum have done in the past. But the fact is the rule is no sock puppets. And although it usually takes a little nudging of Dan Druff, he has been pretty consistent in enforcing the rule. Now because it is Alan, Dan is just going to look the other way and say "I don't know if it is or isn't".

Is it too much to ask for a little consistency? I mean you allow this from Alan, then how do you say no when the next guy creates a sockpuppet, pretending to be a female realtor in Arizona (Rob), or a female girlfriend praising a member (moses)? You look the other way on this, then don't you have to allow a 100 different Tasha sockpuppets?
