Well let's be clear, Rob was not on trial. But his credibility was.
And along that analogy, we had a guy, used to be on this forum, who's father was a lawyer for the mob. Some might call that a "shyster".

So this son-of-a-shyster got to the point that he couldn't even stick by this guy Singer anymore. That is like the mob lawyer, throwing up his hands in the middle of court and exclaiming
"Ya know what, I can't do this anymore. he is guilty as hell".
