I don't think we would be shut down if we were expecting 40,000 dead in a year from Covid-19.

We are currently at 90,000+ in 3 months.

Just for clarity, the vast majority of the estimated 40-60,000 deaths, 26,000,000 medical visits and 400-750,000 hospitalizations due to flu occur during the 13 week 'flu season'. So it's not accurate to attribute the 40-60,000 flu deaths to a full year in comparison to 3 months of Covid. Bad math.
