It appears there is some doubt in his mind since he is even considering a trip.
But no comment on why we haven’t seen this “wave” yet. The protesting has been going on for 2 weeks now. Same with Memorial Day. We have been open in Florida for over a month now.
And the average age of the dead is still well over 75.
The way he plays both sides and is wrong all the time I feel for those who buy his picks this year. Actually no I don’t. Anyone who buys picks from a blog deserves what they get.
Meanwhile America is partying like its 1918 all over again.
Boz, try at least to have some integrity (inside joke). If you ever see where I say the "2nd wave" will hit then, I will pay you 10K, no questions asked.
You see, this is the third month of a pandemic. Pandemics usually don't end in two or three or six months or nine months. Parts of the U.S. haven't experienced the first wave yet. But that first wave is now hitting Arkansas and Florida and Texas and Tennessee and North Carolina.
There's no trick to this. New York, New Jersey, and Illinois are feeling their end of the first wave. The first wave has just started for most (geographically) of the country. Take Tennessee, for example. Tennessee is up 70% the last week, but we're allowing parades and sporting events. The first wave is just arriving. Should be entertaining.
Now I bothered to post this because you were egregiously wrong. When you find a direct quote of mine that has actually been equally egregiously wrong, feel free to direct quote it. I notice, however, that you tend to paraphrase and not directly quote me. Tsk tsk. No integrity in paraphrasing, Boz.

If LV futures are radically better than offshore, I make the trip. That's what I do for my partners. I can handle the protocols needed better than most. Do I want to? No, I don't. But I'll do it. Las Vegas may be a mess by the end of July. Hard to tell. One of my friends beat the NYTimes by two months, calling the LV casinos, "cruise ships on land."
You folks who think COVID-19 is in the rear view mirror are believing what you prefer to believe. Quote me on that. Directly. We are three months into a 24-month marathon. Quote me on that, too. The pandemic has just begun. And no, the protesting sure didn't help matters. Probably lose five digits in lives just from the protests when it's all over.
For anyone with a brain out there, there are reports from Italy that the virus seems to be generating somewhat different effects as it settles into the populations. The viral load per person, and thus the contagiousness and deadliness seems to be reducing the longer it's been embedded in a population. Also, folks have figured out that classic intubation doesn't help much for those most ill. These are the benefits of flattening the curve and having instituted shutdowns. You get to learn what you're dealing with while not overwhelming the health care system.
Now, Boz, 21 months from now, one of us will have been right, and one of us will have been wrong. Good luck.
