Shuffle machines are ALWAYS malfunctioning. With the ASM, it is usually just a lot of jams. The pit comes over and fixes it. But the CSM's I frequently see guys working on right at a (closed) table with the cover off. I also see a lot of switching out of those CSMs. Must be very expensive to maintain.
