I'm not a huge fan of wearing a mask. Alot of it is because the mask is ineffective protection unless it meets certain criteria, fitted properly, and remains uncontaminated for duration of use. On top of that you would also need adequate eye protection or the mask is kind of pointless.

It has been proven to be effective in societies where 95% or greater of the population wears them though. This is due to containing infected peoples bodily fluids in the mask. As long as everyone is wearing one to do their part I have no problem putting a piece of fabric over my face.

Really though society is just prolonging the inevitable. I would opt for letting it run wild and thin the herd for a fast track to herd immunity if given the choice.

Also, I don't want to get this Chinese AIDS bullshit because the long term repercussions are unknown. So I will take responsibility to take all precautions I feel necessary, but without demanding others do whatever I do.
