With this short comment we see the true reason for the existence of Rob Singer.

When he attempted to become an AP he lost and lost and lost. However, there were several APers that talked about their big wins. With his psychological problems he developed a hatred for all these APers (and Bob Dancer in particular). He truly "loathed" them. He had to become a winner so these hated APers would now "loathe" him because of his claimed success.

You can see it in his words and his lies. There was no way that Rob would ever allow himself to become that loser again. He created an existence patterned after the hated Dancer (and hence the name Singer). He created a system of his own. It has never been about money, it has been about the ego. The phoney big home, the cars, etc. All created to fulfill his own fantasies. And we see the fantasy played out in his words above. He believes other people really care about his manufactured winnings like he cared about Dancer's winning.

The guy really needs professional help.

Once again mister know it all (at least you think), as I said before you know nothing about me, my financial position, my gambling experience nore my level of play. So I'll just repeat myself Rob, people loathe you because you're an incredible asshole regardless of how much money you've won or lost. I'm not the least bit interested in polygraphs, proof or anything of the BS that goes on in these discussions. I loathe you because you obviously enjoy to make fun of other people's medical condition (self inflicted or not) and find enjoyment in insulting people as much as you can. That just makes you a large stinking pile of horse shit. In other words, you're the lowest form of life in my book, a complete and total asshole. I don't play vp because I think it's the most boring game out there so I couldn't care less how you won that money. Go ahead and win another 10 million, it won't change a thing about your worthless personality. After you're gone, people will only remember you for one thing (if they will remember you at all because winning 1 million vp is not any more interesting than somebody winning 11 million on Megabucks) and one thing only; and it has nothing to do with vp. But your ego is so large you'll never change your ways, you wouldn't have a clue where to start. Poor little boy.

This is why win goals and loss limits make for a wonderful strategy. How can you possibly argue with a win goal strategy? Oops. I shouldn't have asked that.

Because they don't turn a negative machine into a winning machine. A better use of your time is to find a positive situation and give yourself a good chance to actually win money. No ATM slips to worry about and money to put in the bank.

Gee, Arc, we don't have positive expectation games here in Southern California, nor are there any at the casinos I play at in Vegas. We just have to do the best we can with what we've got. Lucky you with the last two One Eyed Jacks machines in Minnesota. And what will you do when they're gone?

Hmmmm-beautiful california weather, beautiful california women, beautiful california mountains, but machines pay 1% less than the Indians in Minnesota. Where would I play?

Look, I have no problem with you playing whatever machine you want. And, you've provided evidence that your overall play may very well be positive given the various player's club add-ons. But, that is not the point of writing in a blog called "Las Vegas". There are many opportunities in Vegas where the machines pay > 100%.

BTW, there are lots of OEJ machines in Minnesota (over a hundred at last count). Just not at the casino nearest to me.

    Illinois/Indiana?

BTW, you forgot to mention the crippling taxes, the traffic, the crime, the nutjobs everywhere you turn, etc. But hey, I guess you're used to them where you live. There are places where it isn't as bad.

As long as Singer remains to act the way he does, he'll continue to get just this. Sorry Alan, can't help you out on this one.

Alan...I live pretty far away from casinos and the nearest one has horrible VP (98% payback at the most), so on my trips I am forced to try variants of Rob's strategies to keep things interesting. Even where the math is concerned it's not a bad idea to have win goals if it will shorten the sessions and lower the "theoretical" loss overall.

I just don't go to casinos very often anymore because of my location. Nearest 99% games are 100 miles away!
