Yes, that's a fair statement (I'm glad to hear you have already seen it). Recall that Neve Campbell was the shit back then. I guess she was just too much of a smart ass for Hollywood or didn't want to play ball, since that was the Zenith of her career roughly.
Couple of other things. I lived out of a weekly in Reno for 3 years (working Northern Nevada casinos - mostly vulturables with a very small amount of non-vulturable VP mixed in under certain conditions), but in our much more luxurious contemporary times where there were no cockroaches, bed bugs or shared bathrooms in that experience (I did tape up some cracks to keep the ants out) - the whole nine yards were required; credit card (I'm sure there are spots where you don't have to have this), ID, damage deposit, and I think they probably did a background check on me. 40 years ago I could have just handed someone at the front desk some cash and said my name was Joe Blow - I would have much preferred to be an adult then (before the government was cracking down on people who wanted to go through life anonymously) and doing just that; oh well.
The other thing (I did say a couple): if you're going to claim the bagman got away with the cash don't kill him on a train with a gazillion witnesses (The Driver) and then expect to get away with it. Ahh Hollywood. Anyway, like I said, great flick. thanks again.
