You know, that's a good question.
Through this stay I've seen people show up with promotional chips $100.s and $500.s and plop them on the Baccarat table. I've seen players show up with as much as a couple grand in these chips. I haven't watched ultra closely but I think on some of the chips if they win they get to keep the chips for another bet, which are the best kind of freeplay chips.
I haven't asked for any, because I have been winning. Years ago (we're talking before that decade or so hiatus from gaming of mine), when I used to have savage up and down trips, they would hand me as much as five grand of those free chips at a time.
At the first resort, since I had not played at that resort in many many years, I asked what it would take to get my player card back to gold. Was told a 15,000 theo loss. I passed that. Then I needed a 30,000 theo loss to get to platinum (their highest level), and by the time we checked out was told I was just a hair under that. I ended up winning not a huge amount, just a couple grand on that leg of the trip but over the course of the trip at that first resort with bets I put for the dealers next to mine I probably tipped out as much as I won, so maybe they have me down for a 4000 win that trip. In any case I won.
