Within one of your recent suspensions, I challenged management on the board and asked for the MDawg thread to be moved to the same board that it ended up in. We both won only I feel you won on all accounts better than everyone, let me explain.


Just because the MDawg thread still appears in the recent post section is not the important thing. MDawg's trade-off "I call concession" is extremely relevant in my mind. That deal made is admitting to the entire board including to all of his detractors and supporters that he is a systems player. Yes, the detractors knew it all along but now he is admitting all of it no small concession on his part by any means. Pertaining to why you won the most out of this deal. You do not have to bother with the WOV MDawg thread again a major victory for you. You should be happy. Plus no more suspensions.
I see this completely differently. I see it as Shackleford moved a guy posting cancer quackery from the "Medical" section to the "Alternative Medicine" section. The guy will post as much if not more. The guy gets less pushback because some of the doctors in the "Medical" section have agreed to not challenge "Alternative" claims. The key questions are whether the profile of the quackery poster is improved by the switch and whether more or fewer people will buy into it because of the switch.

So, is MDawg going to garner more, less, or the same attention by the switch? Will he be taken seriously by more or fewer people because of the switch and muzzling of a key debunker?

I'd say, at best, it's a push. I think, at worst, there's a good chance he gets more attention and he gets taken seriously by more civilians.

I think, BoSox, that your communications assessment is flawed here. You are arguing that one line of disclaimer (attached to a section and not the specific poster) will somehow neutralize or override months and years featuring hundreds and eventually thousands of posts running tens of thousands of words. Anybody who thinks one line of disclaimer is going to matter versus the thousands of words already posted and tens of thousands to come is being very, very naive.
Why are you posting on the hate site anyway? Mdawg, will now and forever be stigmatized and he will not like it. Look at the quality of his supporters nothing but rejects, and dreamers and yes he is going to get more lots of them brainless creatures. And his thread will continue at a fast pace, so what now it is in a corner. Besides the more supporters, "losers" that he gets the better it is for everyone else.
