Generally you just cut the 1-1/2" line behind the trap and convert to 2" on everything if you are converting the tub to a shower.

That confirms what I seen last night.
Guy said he converted the pipe to 2 inch and added a sweep.
However he didn't show how he did it.
Like you say... cut the pipe down to the 2 inch and add 2 inch.
I'll figure it out... maybe... lol... got other problems to tackle first.
