Not sure why I can't load photos on this site. I have in the past. I hit upload file and nothing happens.
My wall set up is a bit different compared to yours.
As you can see in the first picture I have 3 Vents that have elbows that are in the way.
So I can't just run the wall straight down from the ceiling to the floor.
When the bathtub was there it was curved so those pipes didn't get in the way but converting this to a shower only, those pipes are an issue.
And the wall didn't run all the way down to the floor, it stopped at the tub.
Going to have to build a bench in that area so the pipes can say put.
Not so bad as that can save me on having to build an insert into the side wall.
Soap and Shampoo can just go on the bench instead.
Maybe... I'm not 100% sure about all this... got to work on this subfloor and pipe/drain issue first.
I'm not sure about running a 2 inch drain into a 1 1/2 inch trap.
Could be problems in the future with sewer gas, clogs and possible code/inspection issues.
Give me some more advice though and keep me updated.
I've seen other people do this and say it works.
On my second picture you can see the trap up close.
Its a tight area but I probably can get in there and cut it off.
I have to really think about this before I actually decide to do it.
In the third picture you can see that I cut the floorboard that was a bit rotted and I think had some surface mold.
It's a bit of a pain.
Trying to figure out how much of this subfloor I want to cut out and how I want to rework the plumbing.
Very Late Start today as its been more of a thinking/researching day so far.
