We aren't friends because he works the pit, but it has allowed me to ask questions and gain insight into things, I otherwise wouldn't know. I have talked about him and his opinions often over the years. It is an opinion and friendship I value a great deal. Whenever I have a get together of friends, he is invited.

This isn't new or inconsistant, but to the contrary very consistant. As for me "educating other blackjack players", that is not my job. Everyone has their own game plan. But I have and do share things like different opinions from a pit friend from time to time, both privately and publicly. Other players can do what they want with it.
