I guess what I am thinking is this: You arrived in Vegas with olike 50k right. You now have 106k. Even if you currently had 50k and had lived, paid your bills for 4 years (is it 4 years or 5 now), that still would have been making a living playing blackjack, which is what you came here to do and something you could be proud of. Sure the people on this forum or any forum aren't going to heap praise on you that you might think you deserve, but a lot of that is you. You rub people the wrong way, and it seems intentional.

So if your BR had grown 56k (up to 106k) on top of actually supporting yourself and paying your bills even better. (less this one time cash gift of course)

Now here is the part I personally have a bit of a problem with. In a later post, you mention that you have made fulltime money, while playing part-time. I don't know about the fulltime money....I guess, but the playing part-time is correct. Now of course a lot of us played part-time during parts of the last year and a half, but other than that, you should be out there playing more, grinding, playing closer to full time hours. It would force you to get off the strip and play more games, adapt to playing more games and really be a fulltime professional player. You seem content to just survive and then post that you are the greatest.

It was 20k which caught me by surprise as my dad never gave any cash handouts to me or my brother while growing up and always put us to work every chance he could. At first I declined, but eventually accepted it. Of course he paid for my college also and half of my 13.5k car, but again I had the check ready for the car when we drove to go pick up the car and at the last second he tells me he wanted to pay half because he had helped my brother pay for his car years ago. Again I declined initially as I like to make it on my own, but accepted it regardless. I never asked for any of the handouts throughout my life, even the college one as I told him I didn't want to go to school as I didn't know what I wanted to be so told him to save his money, but he insisted.

Nothing wrong with a square job. Problem is most people hate what they do for a living and go through their whole life miserable only to reach the illustrious retirement they were promised when it was over only to be bored to death.
