If he knows he's so fucked up why then doesn't he get help?
Spewing mental illness on a gambling forum is not therapeutic; he probably needs strong drugs and electroconvulsive therapy before he'll be fit to rejoin polite society.
It's one thing to be (allegedly) insightful and another to be proactive about it.
