I was thinking.. so say Russia goes to shit due to sanctions, but Putin doesn't want to start a full on nuclear war. Could he not just shoot off one of these EMPs to destroy a large portion of our civilian infrastructure? I'm not sure how many computer systems would be fried.

Anyway.. I found this thought interesting. Haven't seen it discussed much.

I wish it was more explanatory. It has been a long time since physics. I've been reading more about them in my spare time. EMPs seem like a huge understated danger to us. Will do some more reading.

I am pretty sure the miniaturization of electronics has not made them any less susceptible.
