For years I wrote occasional articles about Bob Dancer claiming to win large sums of money each year while bragging about getting massive amounts of comps. And the most surprising part of this is how the same casinos supposedly just kept inviting him in with lucrative offers in order to be raped over and over again.
I received lots of pushback on these articles from people who said they too were winning AP's. Yet never did anyone ever attempt to begin to explain or rationalize the anomaly I wrote about. And all Dancer did was email me several times with unpleasantries.
So maybe it is true....maybe there are a few super big winners out there who get showered with a parade of slot club and marketing splendor without end. I know it makes no sense, but if no one ever answers how it can be, then can we prove it doesn't happen?
I believe at the time card pulling at video poker was something that could still be done. You could have an actual large win but show a massive loss to the casino. This would not surprise me. I do the same thing with slots, know my net win detail, and have seen the win/loss statement from the house showing a me as a loser.
Pulling the card was very effective. So much so that technology was created to counter it. So nowadays, on certain games, when you pull the card in the middle of a spin it will say the card is still engaged even tho it's been removed.
But on certain games you can move the numbers close to the payoff then pull the card before spinning to get into the bonus round.
The below game is a card puller. I play the purple at 62 and pull the card at 71. You will sometimes catch 4 purple wilds on the 5th reel to put it into free game mode so I pull at that point.
Then I spin the rest of the play off without the card.
