He was better at gin rummy than poker.
What people fail to realize is that there are folks with more money than everybody on this forum combined who have been running data-mining programs every day on every sport for decades. You can't just wander in and apply some basic math to win at sports unless books make blatant mistakes or unless you're bonus whoring, which won't sustain you. Asking a video poker player or slot player or poker player to expand into sports betting because times are tough in a recession is just, in my opinion, real bad advice.
Garnabby, can you put numerology to this?

The "country code" (internet) names to go with the "country code" numbers, which, if I recall, I mentioned right at the end of my last final post, and, then, a couple of posts before, when I calculated God's telephone number. Of which, mine is ca, as in Garnabby, Canada.
Oh, and note the 69 to go with the 27, and, then, the reversed 153, as in the Biblical number of fish.
Which makes for three, count 'em, three, in quick succession, independent decodes for "country code". Unheard of, no? Get ready to meet your "maker".
You lose again. But, no doubt, like the others, you will keep popping up your silly head. No rest for the perpetually unsatisfied. Ha.
P.S. This anagram solution was the first readable one (without place and other foreign names), anyway, but, the above 69, and, 27, numerals brought it to the top. The 153 didn't remove it.
I am the Garnabby, I am the William Yung, I am the eggy man. (Gotta love the three triple syllables in these names at the ends of the phrases.)

Every one /everyone knows it all; yet, no thing /nothing is truly known by any one /anyone. Similarly, the suckers think that they win, but, the house always wins, unless to hand out an even worse beating.

Why don’t you put a sock in it Yung.
You keep not answering questions people ask and instead just type out a bunch of gibberish.
Redietz is the hammer that thinks everything is a nail.
Bad analogy. Actually, it's the opposite.
It's about using specific skills for specific tasks and NOT using a hammer for what's not a nail. As our old shop instructor made us memorize, "Use the proper tool for the job and use it properly."
Or, more to the point:
Realistically, there's nothing casinos love more than people who win at something deciding they know what they're doing at something else.
I was referring to your assertions about AP sports betting rather than your position on AP generally.
Apparently it is impossible to gather a large amount of sports data, withhold some of the most recent data, build a model with the rest of it, test the model on the withheld recent data, if successful (beating the vig), test the model on some upcoming games without betting and then,if that is successful, bet a small amount of money on some upcoming games. Refining the previous steps as necessary.
I have a feeling you have mostly stayed in your own lane. What you do is kinda a niche thing dealing with investors(IIRC). I'm actually still not sure exactly how it all works, but IIRC you get a percentage/ free roll or something like that? I have a feeling you got in at a time when it was ripe for the picking.
Basically, I strongly disagree with you. For the most part, when it comes to advantage play learning as many different methods as possible is significantly better than staying in your own lane. We are talking about the average person and not about guys like Dancer, Billy Walters, Bill Benter, etc. Obviously, sometimes it's best to stay in a lane that's pumping a shitton of money into your bank accounts.
I agree that someone shouldn't dive right into something risky and overly complicated with a small edge. You get out of your lane when a juicy opportunity comes up, you adjust, refine and learn from there.
Let's take a situation where a card counter knows absolutely nothing about sports, he's never even made a bet before. Let's say he hears some scuttlebutt about a risk-free sports promotion worth a significant amount of money for the time involved, it would be dumb for him to stay in his own lane and not learn enough to take advantage of it.
Now let's say that promotion goes away, but something else good comes up, this time it's with a little risk and a little more learning so he does that.
That guy can keep refining and learning all the way up to getting involved in small +EV percentage bets where he's getting in significant action year after year, all with very little time commitment. Now he is fully ready to jump on anything juice that comes up.
Unger could never hold on to money. Couldn't go to sleep with a dollar in his pocket.
Red, if the line on a particular NFL game was -6 just before kickoff and someone offered you the choice of taking the dog at +8 or the favorite at -4, and you knew absolutely nothing about the two teams....would you take the bet? And if so, which way would you bet?

I wanted to end things with a song. And, I guess, to, finally, finally put a "sock in it", with the infamous Bill Yung. The initial sock (of my initial username here, ThomasClines, who was banned for telling Alan that he could dish it out, but, he couldn't take it). Contrary to popular belief, or folklore, Bill Yung (and LMR) still live on. Ha.
The latest answer was/is to PosV's question about numerolgy, ie, a glorified form and degree of gibberish.
Now to finish the above question, sofaras the spoken part. I put the A on the front of it with the spoken part instead of with the text because it has more to do with the posting of the video, itself.
with 333/777, and 404, goes to

My way of skirting the initial anagram line, of, "Digital media management system," to bring the next readable lines to the top. Gets back to my initial 404-message within the first of PosV quotes about me, and my anagram-with-gematria work. Sort of the way to work such posts, with 69 and 27, 19 and 61, and the like, or, 333 and 777, to go with the 404. Could be that 666 goes with 888, on the other side of 333 and 777. Was sort of neat to see the numeral, 37, pop out with the 333 with 777. Then, there's the 1's with go with either, such as 313/717, and, 616/818. Finally, got the three 3's by putting them for m's.
As well, the first anagram line above has to do with some production called, "Oh, my Goddess!", and, the guy in the video seems to say, "Gody!" as in lordy at end, instead of gottem. A thirteen second video, which includes his words.
Now about the song. The last few anagrams solutions didn't lead to any. So, how about this one, to put every thing to everything, one more time? Apparently, a blues song, I take it the genre of which takes a while to grow on a person. About someone who's satisfied, even with being alone, which is how each of us will end up if live long enough.

My total number of posts here was 782 + 555 + 858 + 99 = 2294.
2294 = (1961 + 333) ---> 1961_333;
and, 2294 = {1721 + [24^2 - (4 - 2^0)]} ---> 1721_24242. (Note that the 1721 stuff is always a bit off the 1961 stuff in terms of complexity, as if the 1961 stuff is a bit more centered in things. Perhaps, the reason that the 2's inverted aren't kept as the true form of the 7's.)
2612 = (2614 - 2) = (1307*2 - 2) = {[1307*(-1 + √9)] - (6^0 + 1)} ---> 137_1961.

Dang Yung left us, no time to spare after all that time tending to his super duper My Little Pony collection.
I ran across this YouTube Channel Yesterday.
Pretty darn good channel.
Reminds me of how AMC used to be in the early 90's.
Anyways, this movie reco is for you mcap.
You'll love all the politically incorrect usage of the Shoshone and Cheyenne throughout the film.
Probably the funniest thing is all the White People dressed up like Indians speaking Indian in English lol.
One positive is how they converted this 1977 film into 4k 2160p???
I'm not sure if they are lying to me or if they did that.
Either way it is a pretty darn crystal clear picture for a youtube movie.
And another positive from this film is the Cinematic Shots of the landscape.
I suppose having Jack Elam with his three legged dog in the picture is another positive.
I'm not sure if I would want them to convert all films to 4k though.
Takes something away from the movie magic so to speak.
Oh and Natalie Woods sister is in the picture if that interests anyone.
Full Movie... GRAYEAGLE!!
Sort of relative since Lana Wood had an on set affair with Sean Connery.
If anyone could throw 18 Yo's in a row...
I'd never heard of Lana Wood (come to find out she was Natalie's sister).
She "got around;" per wiki.
"Wood has been married six times:
Jack Wrather Jr. – (1962–1963; annulled when she was 16 years old)
Karl Brent – (1964–1965; divorced)
Stephen Oliver – (1966–1966; annulled)
Dr. Stanley William Vogel (1968–1968; divorced)
Richard Smedley – (1972–1976; divorced) one child, Evan Taylor Smedley Maldonado (August 11, 1974 – July 18, 2017), by whom she has three grandchildren.[14]
Allan G. Balter (1979–1980; divorced)
Between marriages, Wood dated actors Dean Stockwell, Adam West, Eddie Fisher, Warren Beatty, Sean Connery, Alain Delon and Ryan O'Neal..."
What, Me Worry?
So is it official Rob Singer ran off with his tail between his legs?
"Show them the meaning of strength... " he said.
Kind of.
He doesn't seem to post here any more, but he is still bloviating at Gambling Forums: check the "Percentage" thread in the "Blackjack" section.
The one trick pony moved on to seemingly friendlier pastures.
What, Me Worry?
Look's like Robert (and Christopher Walken) is finally off the hook for Natalie's death unless new evidence surfaces:
