I just made another trip thru Yellowstone Park and again seen the damage the 1988 fire did. It was a massive fire that could have been avoided with controlled burns. It's not the live tree's that burn. It's the dried out deadfall laying on the forest floor. It could have been taken out with controlled burns but liberal environmental policies wouldn't let forest management touch the "precious wilderness."
