Anyway, there's no way under the sun that I would hand out my online accounts to anyone, let alone risk, say, being so easily banned.

I don't see any rule about multiple people using the same account. For all I know others are doing the same, sharing with a wife or someone.

And garnabby, what is the difference of 3 people using one account vs 1 person using 3 (or more) accounts?
