Nope...the family traveled to Vegas to spend Christmas with the children's grandparents (LV residents), plus aunts, uncles and cousins from out of town.

They booked the weekend at Bally's because the parents had comped rooms, and the grandparents could not accommodate everyone sleeping at their retirement residence.

Santa would visit that night, and leave (unwrapped) presents for all the young cousins under the grandparents' tree.

The wrapped presents in the trash bags were gifts for the grandparents from the family, and for a Christmas Day gift exchange among all the relatives.

No fucked up Christmas like you imagined.

No odd choices, no giving up on Santa, no young kids forced to spend Christmas in a hotel while their parents gambled.

Just a wonderful Christmas celebration with their family...grandparents, mothers, fathers, sons, daughters, brothers, sisters, aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, and cousins.

Doesn't that sound reasonable, and much better than what you thought?

So suck it, Scrooge.
