I agree, there's no way casinos are following the so called 1/3 profit, food cost, labour. Two of the reasons being that 2/3 or more, are paying via comps and also the convenience of not having to leave said casino. The exception to this, are the true food specials offered by some places. This has gotten rarer over the years, especially the last 3, but they are still out there in limited numbers. Also want to clarify a REAL food special, not some wannabe deal ex: 12.99 for a questionable(8 med,10 small) pound of wings LOL.
Hialeah Park Casino has a daily meat special . I had pork, sauce, rice and beans for $8 plus tax . Not bad.
As long as the portions are not child size, that would definitely qualify as a deal. Especially for a casino.
