The great thing about running a shop called Plus EV Analytics is that you don't have to know diddly about sports. LOL. They're not just Jacks of All Trades. Their PhD's ( I say that with both ironic sarcasm and respect, as my late wife had two of them).
And then we have the rather obvious question. What's to prevent someone who knows sports (or rather, a particular sport) from exercising every math skill the alleged "Plus EV Analytics" folks display? Do they have secret formulas? Wisdom handed down from gnostic masters? Clairvoyance? Venusian calculus?
I mean, there's nothing that prevents some poor soul such as, say -- wait for it -- Billy Walters, from hiring the absolute best from math fields, getting the best programmers, and the best minds, and simply folding all of that into what he does.
Oh wait, he already has been doing that. For about 40 years.
