Rob, I'm not passing judgment. I just want to see it. Are you going to send it? Yes or no.

If no, then that's the end of it. No hard feelings. You are not obligated to reveal your private tax returns.

But if you don't send it then please don't bring up the subject anymore. Nor should you continue to do battle with anyone over your winnings. As I said, I accept your reports of winnings just as I accept Arc's.

    People win.

The only real issue to discuss is what's the best way for others to also try to win. And that discussion is always welcome.

Some of Rob's claims are so outlandish he should expect to get some flak. He should also be willing to back his claims with proof. That's the point where all discussions seem to go down hill really fast. IMHO
Sling actually listens, tries to understand, and uses some of my approach. That's why he doesn't argue with me--it's HELPING him.

My "claims" only seem "outlandish" to some because I explain an achievement that frustrates the hell out of most others. I've provided pictures, and you saw how people rushed to claim they were photos of other people's wins, faked, or whatever. But this isn't Gaming Today, where I walked in and gave them the W2G originals for support. And all that did was bring the envious to their knees, until they rose up to proclaim "I'll bet he lost all and more of that win!" It never ends, and it doesn't matter. I'm the one with the money from it just as Alan's the one with the money from his wins on those dastardly "negative machines". And once that's finally figured out and whined over, people like arci are so frustrated and let down that they begin to lie about me, my family, my life, and anything else that might make them feel better in their newly created world of fantasy that is necessary in order for them to cope. Yet in this case, who's the one with the REAL problems at home? You see, it always comes back to bite these idiots when they least expect it. So I welcome the flak, because I'm on a life level that doesn't care about their issues while they torture themselves over what a healthy, normal life and family I do have. Let Them Eat Cake!

Rob, you really didn't have to respond, actually I would prefer if you don't. You've said this multiple times already so no need to get into the same old same old. You just seem to enjoy keeping the battles and insults going. Good for you. I didn't really read your reply but just did a quick scan for the word Arci. I saw it was in there so I already knew enough about the content of your reply and immediately lost interest in reading it entirely. I guess some things will never change.....

Rob's response motivated me -- I'm gong to Kroger for a slice of their buttercream cake. Damn it, Rob! I know what you're doing -- you think these underhanded suggestions will result in you looking better at 50 in a speedo than me. Well, I'm going for the cake, anyway. I'll work it off next week.

Rob's claims? You mean like "pushing that button at "just the right time" or holding those dice with the right fingers and flipping them at just the right angle and cadence every time, or playing on and on until the numbers finally even out, even though it may be a million hands? I mean they are "random", aren't they. Bwahahaha!!

slingshot, do you still not believe that video poker machines have what is a called a continuous shuffle??

do you also doubt that throwing dice is an art that is based on physics (although I admit that there aren't many dice artists out there)?

On one hand you are a true believer in much of what Rob tells you, but you fail to believe what science and fact also tell you.

Sorry. I just get the idea that I'm a brainless robot who can't think for himself. I guess I'm also feeling my oats because I took my wife to our free buffet today and we left with $200. We had a great time on her penny machines and I took her to the vp machines( she loves to hit quads) and she almost immediately hit quad 6's on the nickel machines at 10 cents. We played another, but it was obviously a "taker", so I went to the next one, and played it-as another player next to us was smoking,,and she can't stand the smoke. Using one of Rob's special plays, I hit quad 9's and she started squealing with delight-I was at 15 cents on this machine. Well, I promised her I would go after this machine, so she gave me the ok to play a few more hands, and when 4 A's hit, she was ecstatic. True to my promise, though, we left.
Almost forgot=we followed Rob's advice and played ddbp on nickels.

Well that's great. But do you accept that you got those quads because you hit the deal button and the draw button at the precise moment when the continuous shuffle of the RNG were showing those cards? Or do you think it was Rob's strategy that made the quads show?

Sorry. It all happens on the spur of the moment and I only respond to what's dealt. I just hold the best (to me) possible hold I can. FWIW, the previous machine gave negative results to whatever I tried. I guess it wasn't random. Sorry, I couldn't resist that.

Alan, it seems to be very hard to get a straight answer from slingshot. Until a certain degree he shows the same behaviour as Rob when confronted (or less, just asked a couple of simple questions). You get a nice little story but no real answer to the question. Sling; enjoy your vp, follow any strategy you like and believe anything you like (questionable or not). I'm happy for you Rob's strategy is making you a winner.

I have this suggestion for sling: Ask Rob if he believes video poker machines have a continuous shuffle for the deal and draw?

  12. #112
Why would anyone with half a brain ask Rob anything?

Alan, Vegaslover-it doesn't matter to me! It's gambling! We had $20 free play and I had $20 to spend and a free buffet for 2. There's no way we shoulda won anything. For the record, the free play was gone after a couple of minutes-we had to play it all at once. My $20 we played 10 hands at 30-40 cents (depending on the machine) and took what they did or didn't give. The only break to this rule was that if we hit +$3 we played 5 more spins, and only continued more spins if paid during those 5 spins. We got up to $60 before we headed to vp to try my games for a few hands before we left. My wife has a mental disability and vp tires her quickly so after her quad and me quiding her and sometimes holding off pushing the draw button until she could "see" the correct hold, I gave her a rest and played two more machines-about 50 hands. She might not go for another several months-she just wanted to see the new penny machines.
Forgot to add: My wife is the LUCKIEST person I've seen. She hit two award bonus top prizes by picking the correct symbol out of 10.

What matters, sling, is that you don't seem to believe that video poker machines have a continuous shuffle. I like to know how things work. A continuous shuffle is one of the things that insures video poker games are random.

Several times you have made comments indicating that you don't believe that pressing a deal or draw button at a precise instant makes a difference in the cards you receive. Well, it does.

So, if you say you also understand that IGT video poker machines use a continuous shuffle then we can close this discussion.

    I have no idea, honestly.

I'm not at all sure what it is you'd like to see? A tax return, an audit report, or what? This began as support for winning. Then you seemed to have changed it to wanting to see the deductions used to offset 100% of what I won. I think in order to satisfy you then you would have to open up a full audit and I'd have to bring all of my paperwork along, because neither a return or my audit reports break the deductions down. Are you understanding this point?

  17. #117
Rob, let me make my position clear:

    1. I don't doubt that you won. I don't doubt that you even won, on average, about $100,000 per year.

    2. Because I don't doubt you won, I don't need to see your tax returns.

    3. What I would like to see -- if they exist -- are notes or a letter or some written material from the IRS which allows your various unconventional deductions as a professional gambler which allowed you to deduct non-gaming losses so that you didn't have to pay any federal taxes on your approximately $100,000 of years video poker net wins.

    4. Now if you don't have a letter or some document showing your unconventional deductions were approved, then perhaps your Schedule C as approved by the IRS would be sufficient?

That's my position and that is what I am curious to see.

  18. #118
You'll never see anything, Alan, because they don't exist. This is exactly like the documents Singer promised over a year ago. You can tell by the amount of bluster that comes out. Dead give away every time. Singer has no tax returns that show winnings or these made up deductions. It is ALL LIES.

  19. #119
Arc, you are just throwing gasoline on the fire. There is no need to make these comments.

I want to say two things:

    1. I'm not sure that there will be an opinion from the IRS. An auditor might have simply told Rob "OK" during the audit, or the deductions might have passed without any comment whatsoever. But it would be interesting to see the returns even if there isn't an opinion.

    2. But then I really don't care to see the returns as much as I would like to see a formal statement from the IRS about Rob's deductions. A formal statement from the IRS could help others to make similar deductions. No statement from the IRS and we are on our own as to what we think is a valid deduction.

Like I said Arc, maybe this would be a good time for you to stand back. Robs doing a fine job of digging a hole all by himself.
