WHy Do They Lie?

I was trying to protect myself.
So I lied in an attempt to protect myself and would do it again

Now this. Twice recently, first with regards to the made up backrooming lawsuit, and again with regards to the claimed six year old 100K jackpot, UNKewLyingJ has brought up “to protect myself” as reasons for his lies.

Still, we have not even a shadow of an explanation as to why lying day in day out for three months over a lawsuit and then retracting the lies could possibly further any end other than repeated desperate attempts to back up the original story. How was lying and then retracting protecting anything, or anyone? How was lying in the first place, claiming that a lawsuit existed where there was none, protecting himself anyway? The reason he hasn't even tried to elaborate on this is because there is no plausible explanation for his lying, other than that he was trying to make people believe his nonsense.

Just another not well thought out lie (“I was trying to protect myself”) that contradicts the truth.

Along the same lines, the lies about how "APs know this happened to me and have contacted me about it" and "the press got wind of it and contacted me," were also presented only to try to back up the fable and for no other reason. Such statements, as well, certainly could not fit into "trying to protect myself."

No, once he brought up the tale, there was only one UNKewl agenda: trying to get people to buy it. That it didn't work out was a function of that he didn't think it through well enough which resulted in what DanDruff' described as so many changing and bizarre versions of the same story.
