A 50c denom Royal at the Pioneer in Laughlin for $2000. Although technically I did not draw the card to make the Royal. A couple was playing on the other side of a circular bank, and the wife/gf was standing, so I called her over when the familiar Royal draw screen appeared. I am sometimes amused (and successful) in letting other people draw a single card to make a hand, although most often now a CW will usually tell you that they can't. This technique has proven unsuccessful with my wife however- she cannot EVER seem to draw the card I need despite so many opportunities. Anyway shortly after we hit the Royal, her husband/bf tells me that I should split that with her?? I told him I planned on giving her $100 but he seemed only moderately satisfied with that. I guess your average person does not grasp the amount of coin in it takes to hit one... idk... I was kind of taken aback by his comment.
What I've found interesting is the places I've hit Royals at are also places that I've played very little at. I hit one at Santa Fe Station the first, and only time, I've ever been there in like 15 minutes. Couple other places maybe 100K hands... and nothing.
